Why is mindfulness so important?


This topic deserves so much more attention than it gets. Mindfulness and meditation practices are one of the most important tools you can have to managing your ADHD.


Meditation and mindfulness practices are well known by researchers to positively affect dopamine levels, your mood, ability to focus, and causes (positive) changes to your overall brain functions.

Dr. Carol Robbins refers to these changes as "progressive, cumulative, and permanent."

This means that even the baby steps are adding up to positive long-lasting changes in your life.


One easy way to implement mindfulness into your day-to-day life is to start a journaling practice. Take a few minutes every day and notice yourself in your life exactly as you are. Hopefully these journal prompts can help you to get started!
